- 1993 - Company started in Middleburg, Virginia with 3 partners - Jim Kershaw, Mark Kendrick and Jim Flemming as Aegis Security. Aegis Security's primary focus was on the installation and monitoring of Security and Fire Alarm Systems.
- 1995 - Aegis begins work in the Audio and Video industry and changes name to Aegis Technologies, Inc.
- 1997 - Aegis employs 7 people.
- 1999 - Aegis employs 10 people.
- 2000 - Jim Fleming and Mark Kendrick leave the company to pursue other interests. Jim Kershaw becomes the sole owner of Aegis Technologies.
- 2001 - Aegis begins growth spurt employing 12 people Aegis moves to 3000 sq. feet of new office space and showroom in Leesburg, Virginia.
- 2004 - Aegis expands showroom to 6,000 sq. feet and Becomes the “Home Electronics Design Center” The new and improved showroom includes a Theo Kalamorakis Home Theater, a second Home Theater, Speaker Display and TV Display area and new conference room with surround sound system. The showroom is fully controlled by Crestron, the industry leader in home automation control.
- 2005 - Aegis grows to 17 people and starts a Yacht Racing Team – with a Beneteau First 36.7 named “Team Aegis”. Employees for Aegis become crew for the racing team. More information on Team Aegis Racing is available here.
- 2007 - Aegis grows to 22 people and expands to Annapolis, Maryland hiring two new employees for the Annapolis market.
- 2008 - Aegis takes Annapolis by storm, working on six new luxury custom homes in our first full year of Annapolis business operations.
